How it works
One call. One visit. One clear plan.
A home assessment for older adults, by an occupational therapist or physiotherapist, with a written plan within 48 hours.

Four steps
Step 1 · The call
A free consultation on the phone.
Tell us what has changed. We will say honestly whether a visit would help, and when it would not.
Step 2 · The home assessment
A senior clinician visits them at home.
We test their strength, balance and walking, and see how they manage the stairs, getting up from a chair, the bathroom and the kitchen. Then we look at what in the house raises their risk of a fall.
Step 3 · The plan
A written plan.
What has changed, how much strength and independence can come back, and what to do first. Written in plain English for the family, within 48 hours, and then we go through it with you.
Step 4 · After the plan
We stay involved, if you want us to.
If they need hands-on therapy, we agree a set block of visits with you. If they don’t, we can check in every few months and tell you whether they are getting better or worse. Either way, you know the price before anything starts.
The goal
Fewer trips to hospital, less weight on you, and more time where they want to be: at home.
What it costs
Nothing hidden behind the first visit.
The most common worry we hear is not the price of the first visit. It is not knowing what the first visit turns into. So here is all of it.

A free consultation call
Free
A short phone consultation with a clinician, usually about 15 minutes, to work out whether we can help. If we’re not the right fit, we’ll say so straight away, and it costs you nothing.

Specialist Home Therapy Assessment
£140
- A home visit of about an hour. We test strength, balance and walking, see how they manage everyday tasks, and check their risk of a fall.
- A written plan within 48 hours: what has changed, how much strength and independence can come back, what to do first, and what help to ask the NHS and council for.
- A phone or video call to talk you through the plan and answer your questions.
- Everything is agreed with them, not decided for them.
Anything after the assessment is agreed separately, and only once we know what is needed. That might be a set block of home visits to rebuild strength, or a check every few months. You will know the price before anything starts. If the plan is all they need, we will say so.
Questions
Questions people ask before they book.
How long is the visit?
It takes about an hour. We stay until it is done properly rather than working to a clock in somebody's living room, and there is no extra charge if it runs on.
What happens after the assessment? Do I have to buy more?
No. Nothing else is booked unless you ask for it. If they would benefit from more, such as a set block of home visits or a check every few months, we will suggest it and you will know the price before you decide. If the plan is all they need, we will say so.
How soon can you come?
Usually within 5 working days of the call.
Which parts of London do you cover?
Home visits across London. If you are just outside, ask us. We would rather tell you honestly than have you guess from a map.
What if their memory is getting worse?
It is one of the most worrying things to notice, and it often comes alongside slowing down. We look at how it is affecting everyday life: a routine that has slipped, meals missed, the cooker left on, and whether it is raising their risk of a fall. We do not diagnose memory problems or provide dementia care. If a memory assessment is needed, the plan says so and explains how to ask the GP for one.
They will say they are fine. What then?
Most do. It lands better as a check than as a problem: something to look at once, so you can both stop wondering. We are not there to take anything away, and we do not start conversations about care homes. If they still say no, do not force it. Get in touch and we will help you work out how to raise it.
Can you help with a stairlift or changes to the house?
Yes. We look at whether it is really needed, what else might work, and what the council may pay for, such as a Disabled Facilities Grant. The council will still do its own assessment, but we can explain the process, what to ask for and what to expect. If you would rather arrange it privately, we can help with that too.
Why this and not the free council assessment?
Ask for that as well. It is your right, and we will tell you how. But it answers a different question: what somebody is eligible for within a budget. The wait runs to months across London, and the visit is usually brief. We are quicker, we go deeper, and we hold nobody's budget. You can use both, and we can help you through the council’s process.
Is this instead of the NHS?
No. It sits alongside it. If an NHS referral is the right answer, the plan says so clearly, and you can share it with their GP.
What if they turn out to be fine?
Then you have a starting point and one less thing to lie awake about, and we will tell you when it is worth looking again. That is a good outcome, not a wasted visit.
